Learning Lab Chicago
Melissa, director, founded Learning Lab Chicago to provide exceptional learning, diagnostic treatment for and evaluation of children with varying educational needs. Ten years of teaching in various academic settings and a master’s degree in school social work developed her ability to choose and perfect programs to better help students on an individual basis.
Melissa and her staff strive to fully understand the whole child, an approach that enables them to tailor a curriculum to successfully meet each child’s individual and specific needs.
The calm, nurturing environment she has created at Learning Lab Chicago comforts and relaxes students allowing them to learn and grow with each visit.
She is certified in the evidence based SLANT® system reading program, trained in SQ Write™ by Michael Gladstein, and has participated in SPELL-Links™ professional development as well as various other executive functioning strategies.
